ABOUT ME

My name is Emily and I am a sophomore studying biology and chemistry at Florida State University. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in April of 2011 after suffering acutely for a year prior, with signs of the disease as far back as 2001. I was diagnosed with acute idiopathic Scoliosis as a child and have since undergone corrective surgery, and I am anticipating a second corrective surgery to (hopefully) alleviate chronic pain. My autoimmune journey continues to be a difficult puzzle-- one that I am only just starting to find the pieces to.

I love cold weather, live music, and a good book. I buy myself flowers every week and my dog is my best friend. The little things  in my life make me happy :)
