FAQ

What is Chronic Curve?
I created Chronic Curve as a resource for other young adults dealing with chronic illnesses in their 20’s, as well as an outlet for coping with my own diseases.

What will I find here on this blog?
Here you will find all types of resources:
  1. DIY project instructions to aid with daily tasks
  2. Weekly helpful link round ups including blog of the week, where I will choose one chronic illness (or related in some degree) blog that I’ve found helpful or inspiring
  3. Posts relating to dorm/college living with chronic illness/disability
  4. Product and book reviews
  5. Details of my own personal journey
  6. all tips and tricks to getting the most out of life with chronic pain and illness.

What do you have?

As of now:
  • Scoliosis for 10+ years— full surgical spinal fusion
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • IBS
  • Chronic migraines
  • Chronic back pain due to late complications of my scoliosis

What is
The Pre-Med Patient?
The Pre-Med Patient is a blog designed for science and pre-med majors like myself facing the challenge of managing grueling majors at the same time as grueling diagnoses, and resources to help those in that specific position.

Are you on Tumblr?

I am! chroniccurve.tumblr.com

I think I have ____. Can you tell me if it sounds like I have ___?

I am not a doctor and any health advice posted is what I have encountered through my own journey. Everyone has a different experience and medical advice and diagnoses should be solicited from a licensed physician and not this blog.

Do you have an e-mail?

I do: chroniccurve@gmail.com. Feel free to email me any time!

Hey, I’ve seen that article published elsewhere! Did you steal it?!

Absolutely not. If I post an article that I did not write, I will cite the source and create a click-through link to the original site. If you see no source, it is an article I wrote on my personal blog that I have transferred to this one without revealing my personal tumblr link. If you have concerns regarding a source, please message me so I can correct any mistakes.

What medication do you take for your autoimmune conditions?
  • Plaquenil
  • Arava (leflunomide)
  • Percocet
  • Trazadone
  • Zoloft
  • Loestrin
  • Fish oil
  • Vitamins D, C, B12 (among others)

Is your blogspot the same as your tumblr?
Yes. The content will be the same. I created a tumblr because there is a large community of autoimmune/scoliosis sufferers on tumblr and it is easier for them to follow me to see my posts regularly than check a website constantly.

Do you have Lupus?

I am seronegative, meaning though I have autoimmune conditions and symptoms, my blood work produces a false negative. Though I have lupus-like symptoms, my blood work does not indicate lupus. Regardless, it is something I am treating with appropriate medication and watching carefully.
